Etienne: Master Of Foot/Fetish Art
As the artist Etienne, Dom Orejudo's sexual fantasy art which included foot and fetish/
leather homoerotic themes is known throughout the world and has been featured in magazines and published for over four decades.

Orejudo's work received world- wide recognition. A pioneer in modern gay male erotica, Orejudos has been recognized with the likes of Tom of Finland as a master of the fantasy/fetish genre. However unlike Tom, Orejudos tendencies often leaned toward representing the sexual appeal and use of male feet as subject matter.

For much of the male foot community (in particular), Orejudos is remembered for having produced a fantastic, foot-sexual erotic tableau. His exaggerated muscular imagery and exquisite representations of sexy male feet were easily recognizable. What became more notable was how he portrayed the feet as sexual objects to be used and lusted after in and of themselves.

He created what was, at the time, a new and unique style of artistic expression relative to the sexual depiction of the male. Orejudo's ability to depict foot fantasy scenarios portrayed what was apparently his own desire for them and seemingly stemmed from his own experiences. His foot-specific work came to be promoted through an arrangement with the The Foot Fraternity which later would expose the internet generation to the artist's talents.

Orejudos was a Foot Fraternity member for many years and did original drawings just for the organization. He maintained a good friendship with Dug Gaines, founder of the FF and the two often discussed the scene, how his interest developed and the fetish in general. The FF is the oldest known contemporary foot fetish organization/establishment for males today. Its presence existed long before the internet explosion brought foot men out of the shoe closet and onto their computers.
Orejudos images were invaluable because they provided men with fantasy material in a time when such was not readily available as it is today. Their collaboration was original for its contribution to the foot community.

Some of his images were produced over 30 years ago. The fact that his pieces still resonate dramatically with men worldwide today has lead critics to dub Orejudos an originator of the foot-subject genre.

That long association with foot and fetish themes dates to the early 1960's .
Orejudos was from Chicago and was still in high school when his first erotic works were published. He decided he wanted a pseudonym with real flair, so he signed them with the French version of his middle name Stephen which is Etienne.

As time went on he gradually refined a distinction in artistic names based on the medium he was working in. He kept Etienne for his more ambitious oils, acrylics and pencil works and used Stephen for his cartoon-style pen & ink works.

Orejudos emphasized that with fantasy anything is possible and nothing has consequences because it is after all just make believe. As did Tom of Finland, Etienne felt concerned that his fantasy themes and single works which often depicted extreme acts of lust and desire might be misinterpreted over time.

As any comic strip illustrator would do, he selected subject matter to capture or create drama and intrigue or even to express humor. Whether fulfilling a commission request, or just for the pure sake of a lark, he often fashioned outlandish romps that crossed into no man's land, sometimes with severe representations.
Orejudos believed that within the realm of fantasy and art there are no limits. In his world bare feet, smelly socks, sweaty sneakers, boots and foot-sex abound equally along with crotch action - all ready to be sniffed, licked, sucked, worshipped and used at will. His visualizations are from a place we can only dream of ...
